About us

We compare. We don't run the tables.

Chip Foundations is an independent comparison site. We're not an operator, not a regulator, and no listed brand owns or edits this page.

What we actually do

We look at licensed UK casino operators and put them next to each other on points that are checkable: whether the licence is current, how wide the game catalogue runs, whether live-dealer tables are available and through which studio, how the mobile experience holds up, and how the welcome offer is structured. We don't take bets, we don't process deposits, and we don't have any say in how a game pays out — that's all handled entirely by the operator under their own licence.

Our name comes from the idea of checking the foundation before you build on it: read the terms, understand the wagering conditions, and know what you're signing up to before the first spin, not after.

Why the wagering angle matters to us

A lot of casino comparison content leads with the biggest headline offer. We lead with whether the offer is written plainly. Two operators can advertise a similar-sounding welcome bonus and land very differently once you read the wagering requirement, the eligible games list, and the withdrawal conditions attached to any winnings from bonus funds. That's the gap we try to close with our comparison scoring.

How the site is funded

Chip Foundations earns a commission when a reader signs up with an operator through a link on this site. That's the standard model for independent affiliate comparison sites, and we think it works best when it's stated plainly rather than buried — see our full affiliate disclosure for the details. Commission doesn't buy a better score: an operator paying us more per sign-up doesn't move its position in the comparison table.

What we won't do

We won't publish invented user reviews, dress up a bonus with language like "guaranteed" or "risk-free," or hide behind vague disclaimers instead of a plain statement that we're an affiliate site. If we can't verify a claim about an operator, we leave it out rather than guess.
