How we're paid, in plain language

This page exists so nothing about our funding model is a surprise. Last updated 30 July 2026.

The short version

Chip Foundations is an affiliate site. When you click through to an operator from this site and sign up, that operator may pay us a commission. You don't pay anything extra, and the amount you deposit or any offer you receive isn't affected by whether you arrived through our link.

What that does and doesn't influence

Commission arrangements determine whether an operator appears in our affiliate programme relationships at all — we can only link to operators we have a commercial arrangement with. It does not determine an operator's position in our comparison table, its match percentage, or the wording of its review. Those come from checking the same eight criteria against every operator: licensing, game range, live casino, mobile experience, studios featured, welcome offer type, support, and overall usability.

Tracking links

Links to operator sites from Chip Foundations include a tracking parameter (things like btag, affid, clickid or subid in the URL) so the operator's system can attribute the sign-up back to us. This is standard practice across the affiliate industry and doesn't give us access to your account, your activity, or any personal information once you're on the operator's site.

Editorial independence

Nobody we're commercially connected to reviews or approves our copy before it publishes, and no operator can pay for a higher score or a better position on the page. If an operator stopped paying commission tomorrow, our description of its game range and offer type wouldn't change — only whether it's still listed at all, since we only link to operators we have an active relationship with.
